SureWest has launched SureWest Remote Monitoring that is a service that enables customers control and monitor things that happen in their homes or businesses while they are away. You can control your kitchen lights, check on pets, receive e-mail alerts if a window is opened, or watch your kids come home from school from virtually anywhere in the world. The system can be programmed to deliver live or recorded video as required.

Customers of Roseville-based SureWest with wireless phones or computers can see if doors or windows are opened, if the temperature changes or if there is water leakage.
