Buffalo is here to launch the an external optical disk drive and a BRHC-6316U2 which is a Blu-ray - and HD DVD - combo drive that has the capability to read as well as write Blu-ray and read HD DVD. The new Buffalo drive is very easy and simple to use, with a simple plug and play connection to any PC via a USB.

The new Buffalo drive is fully backwards compatible as it can play and read existing DVD formats as well as burn DVD-ROMa compatible with all general DVD players. The new Buffalo device boasts single and double layer Blu-ray read/write speeds of up to 6x, HD DVD read speed of up to 3x, and DVD read/write speeds of up to 16x.
