Tony Medina - Asbestos cancer case study

By Susan — [ ] Reported at 12:32 pm, 04/08/2007.

I came to know of the case of Tony Medina who's struggling for life due to his past job experience that made him get in closer contact with Asbestos.

Tony Medina once worked in early 1980s for removing asbestos from buildings as part of his job with his employer. But at that time Tony never knew that THIS job of his will one day end up as cause of his death.

Today at the age of 41, Tony is suffering from mesothelioma, a deadly cancer disease that's linked to Asbestos exposure and TOny has been infected with the same through his early age job that he took some 27 years back.

National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health study has predicted that the number of mesothelioma cases would jump up even up to year 2017. Today, Tony Medina is preparing to sue his former employer for compensation through Supreme Court.

Lot of Australians that worked on similar jobs long back are expected to acquire the same cancerous disease called mesothelioma in later stages of their lives and this is a serious setback to their families that depend on these individuals.
