Rabies has still remained as the most deadly infectious disease in China during the month of January, with overall death rate of around 84 percent due to rabies, topping the complete list of all kinds of fatal diseases followed by tuberculosis, AIDS, hepatitis B and cerebrospinal meningitis.

Bird flu has again reappeared on the scene after four months of silence, and this is a serious alarm for health departments and professionals.

Beijing has now opened 37 new outpatient clinics for rabies vaccination through out China. Vietnam is reported to have produced a new rabies vaccines that assures promising results to combat the deadly nature of rabies and reduce the overall casualties due to rabies.
