Streptomycin, Kanamycin, Neomycin and kidney stones treatment

By Susan — [ ] Reported at 4:52 am, 10/05/2006.

Just came to know that drugs such as streptomycin, neomycin, and kanamycin are used to address urinary tract infections when the urine is alkaline and not acidic. What if the urine is acidic and you're taking a treatment for your kidney stones trying to make urine basic?

I believe that one should strictly consult one's physician when one finds a similar scenario when one is taking a alkalinity treatment for kidney stones and faces a scenario of urinary tract inections. One should never take any drugs such as streptomycin or Kanamycin or Neomycin remembering one's previous treatment history and just take these medicines by oneself without even consulting your kidneystones specialist. If you're consulting your physician, then you SHOULD let them know of your past history with kidney stones as well.
