Tsunami or earthquakes or hurricanes can occur anytime. I believe there SHOULD be a non profit organization that may coordinate a network of HAM radio channels specifically working as weather radio and providing weather info to the whole world related to specific regions.

Weather radio can play a magnificent role in combating the weather calamities and natural calamities at least in the form of saving thousands of innocent and poor lives. I believe such natural disasters do only affect most of the poor people out there… The poor people are the most affected lot in such adverse calamities be it New Orleans or Malaysia or Japan or California or Florida or any other place in the world. It's the poor people that majorly loose their lives in such natural calamities. It's those poor people on which the poor families are completely dependent. Weather radios are in reach of the whole community and socities. HAM radios working as weather radio can play a magnificent role in saving thousands of lives out there.
