Hurricane Rita targets Texas and Louisiana

More than 1.3 million residents in Texas and Louisiana have been ordered to evacuate to prevent the same deadly effect of hurricane Katrina through the new hurricane Rita.

In New Orleans, Rita brought the first rain to the city since Katrina. The storm weakened Thursday morning from a top-of-the-scale Category 5 hurricane to a Category 4.

Florida Storm Rita - a new Hurricane targeting Keys of Florida

Rita, the tropical storm over Florida is reported that it may soon turn up into a hurricane same as Katrina that hit New Orleans some time back. The hurricane Rita that's right now moving towards Keys of Florida is seen to take the shape of a hurricane as reported by weather monitoring agencies and satellite pictures.

This new hurricane over florida is currently found to be moving over southern Florida. The direction it has chosen seems to divert it towards Texas and than pass over the state of Louisiana by the end of this week itself. The whole region is threatened for the devastation of the magnitude as done by Hurricane Katrina last month over New Orleans.

Florida's Keys have been reported to be emptied as the hurricane Keys approaches the region.
