Hotmail email problem : Please visit hotmail.com - Hotmail Verification

I've been facing this unique problem since last fortnight… and I wonder if hotmail wants us to subscribe and pay for the service they deliver…. does that mean hotmail indirectly wants us to PAY ?

When I check my hotmail email account through outlook express , it happens several times that all my hotmail email folders disappear then then I get this email from Hotmail Staff :

Subject: Please visit hotmail.com
Message:
To help protect our users from automatically generated junk e-mail (or spam), MSN Hotmail periodically asks for identity verification.

Please go to http://www.hotmail.msn.com and follow the instructions. It takes only a few minutes and you can then return to using your Hotmail account.

Thank you for helping us to help reduce your junk e-mail.
Sincerely,
MSN Hotmail Staff

Please do not reply to this e-mail as this is an unmonitored alias.

Well I just checked out the hotmail site and it says :

To protect our users from the increasing amount of unsolicited junk e-mail or spam sent from MSN HotmailSympatico Mail accounts through Outlook and Outlook Express, we have reluctantly had to restrict the new use of Outlook and Outlook Express to subscribers.

By making this feature part of a subscription, (which requires a user to provide billing information), we can more effectively manage and put a stop to abuse of this functionality, and help protect you and others from unsolicited mail.

If you purchase a subscription service such as MSN Hotmail Plus or MSN Premium, you get access to your account from Outlook or Outlook Express, along with many other added features. To see other benefits of upgrading your MSN HotmailSympatico Mail or MSNSympatico/MSN accounts or to create a new subscription account please visit our subscription information page.

What does that mean?

  4. whnever i want to make a hotmail account which i have been trying for 1 weak never comes only error on the page comes hotmail is awfully slow

  5. I need help. When I use the forward command to resend an email, all I can send is several lines of “garbage” Can you help correct this. The message or pictures will not transmit.

  7. okay, this isn’t about the emailing, but i don’t know what email to send this to. When i click on the games list, it says that: because of suspicious activity, your games have been disabled. what the heck? what do you mean by suspicious activity? I havent’ played any games for a while!!!!

  24. I can’t open www.hotmail.com, I didn’t check my emails for many days, because I went to the south of Thailand,visiting my relatives,after coming back today, I tried to open it but it can’t be opened. Please help me.
